The TI-Nspire has a unique, hard-wired "Identification Number".
Hit the HOME key.
Using TouchPad arrows, move right to Documents
Arrow down to #5 Settings, hit (or hit 5)
Arrow down to #4 Status, hit (or hit 4)
Arrow down to "About" (a box will appear), hit
Arrow down to "Product ID"
The number listed after Product ID: will be the calculator's
unique Identification Number.
Be careful to copy the number correctly.
Click "About" to find the Identification Number.
Note: The number listed after Product ID: will be the calculator's

Number in a secure location.
If your calculator is lost or stolen, you will most likely be asked to
identify the calculator by this number.
Current Operating System - OS
Note: The top portion of this "Handheld Status" screen will show the calculator's current
Operating System number
under the entry "Version".
This is the OS number that will need
updating from time to time.
